Private Drama Teaching

For the past ten years she has been giving private drama lessons in London for young adults (18yrs and upwards). She has had great success in helping students gain places in top drama Schools.

Each student will receive an individual consultation and advice on how to approach a career in acting. Whenever necessary they will receive help in choosing audition pieces that are suitable for their age and range. This can be particularly useful if a student has little knowledge of Shakespeare.

Sally offers a clear and detailed approach to the text along with a technique which helps the student access the emotional truth of the piece. She believes that good writers offer the actor a blueprint on how to discover the character and that the actor must become a detective to find the clues within the text. In addition she uses simple theatre games and exercises that help release the student and allows him/her to get 'inside' the text.

Sally takes great interest in all her students and enjoys following their subsequent careers. Many have become friends and come back regularly to work on their TV, film and theatre scripts.
